High-Torque Heroes Meet the Real Stars of the new Transformers Movie

Lamborghini Aventador

Beware of spoilers!

As the much-anticipated next addition to the Transformers movie franchise grows ever closer, the film world is buzzing with rumours about which new cars will be featured in the sequel.

The popular franchise is based on the children's animated cartoon of the same title, in which powerful alien robots transform themselves into cars, trucks, jets and anything else high-octane. The first live action movie, released in 2007 and starring Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox, was nominated for three Oscars. Since then there have been two sequels, and there's another one on the horizon. Transformers: Age of Extinction is due to be released later this year.

Director Michael Bay has posted up a picture of a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Coupe, which experts believe has been identified as Lockdown, one of the enemy robots, or Decepticons.

Bugatti Veyron

Other vehicles expected to appear in the movie are the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, the new C7 Corvette Stingray and an impressive-looking Medium Tactical Vehicle from military truck experts Oshkosh Defense. Official replicas of all the Transformers appearing in the film will be available from Hasbro.
